where it all began
Project Brigid
A small house located along the Camino de Santiago (St. James Way), in a small village with just 29 neighbors, near Galicia in Spain, was converted into a Community Cultural Center.
Founded in Feb 2016 by Richard Kappel
"Traveling changed my life, especially the exchanges I had with people with who grew up with much different sociocultural backgrounds. After living in this village for four years, I felt inspired to create a space where the locals and travelers could have a space to connect through their shared interests and have meaningful exchanges. Through this experience, I created the MIX Methodology."
Inspiring Participation
Convincing locals to come and hang out with travelers was hard, food & music did the trick 😉. Then, I learned to focus on questions like "what's your earliest memory of taking photos" instead of "what's your favorite type of photography". The magic was getting them to talk about their experiences and emotions, leading to bonds being built very quickly.

2019 - Just the Beginning:
So many travelers would say "this is so great, you have to get this in my city!". People had life-changing moments at Project Brigid, overcoming deep prejudices & preconceptions. It came to a point I wasn't able to sleep any longer. I felt a profound responsibility to work hard, and give this a try. Project Brigid is closed, MIXLife has finished it's product-market fit journey, MVP coming soon!

The "Bubble" Team

MIXLife.social is made up of a team of people who contribute to develop a
"socializing network connecting cultures".

MIXLife.social will function as an event platform where anyone can
find or make a MIX in a city they live or traveling to.

The "Bubble-Team" culture encourages each contributor to poke inside eachother's
projects to offer critiques and ideas. The only reason it works is because the
team is curated using EIQ and aptitiude as founding pillars for consideration.

The most recent addition to the team is respected and embraced
as equally as the Founder and C-Level Team Members.

Goal: 100 million actively monthly participants by 2030
